We've tried to list some of the most common questions we are asked about our jewellery making short breaks and holidays but please don't hesitate to email or telephone us if you have any questions or would like a chat about the workshops, accommodation etc.

Where is La Vidalerie ?
We are in the beautiful and unspoilt Aveyron in SW France, largely undiscovered, it is the 5th largest department in France but has one of the smallest populations.

Do you have a brochure ?
Yes we have a brochure in pdf form which you can view here.

How do I get to La Vidalerie ?
We offer free pickups from Montpellier and Rodez Airports.
It may be possible to arrange pickups from Toulouse - approx 3 hours - Please add £125 return for 1 person or £175 return for 2 people
We may be able to offer pickups from Bezier (Edinburgh to Bezier) - Please add £50
Please contact me before booking your flights to make sure the workshop place is available.

I will be traveling on my own
Almost all of our guests are women traveling on their own, this is why we think it is so important to collect you from the Arrivals Gate and take you into the airport when you return.

I want to travel with just hand luggage ?
We provide towels, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel and there is a hair drier in the cottage so don't worry about bringing these.

Do you run workshops all year round ?

Do I need to bring my own tools ?
No - Don't worry about buying anything special for the workshops, we have lots of beads and tools. If you have your own favorite tools feel free to bring them (maybe mark them with some tape so they don't get mixed up) but remember you can't bring them in your hand luggage.

What are the options for dinner ?
The cottage has it's own kitchen (we can take you to the local supermarket or pick up supplies for you) but you may prefer to eat with us on your first night (15 Euros). If you would like to eat at one of the nearby restaurants one night we will drop you off and pick you up.

What meals are included ?
Breakfast and lunch at La Vidalerie - any meals/drinks taken outside are not included (eg restaurants & cafes). Tea, coffee etc are provided (let us know if you have special requirements)

Do you cater for vegetarians ?
Yes, if you have any special requirement with regards to meals just let us know.

Do I have to share a room ?
NO - Definitely not, we want you to have a relaxing holiday and feel that having your own room is an important part of this. Your room has a double bed, TV with DVD player, books and comfortable chair.

Deposits, Balance and Cancellations
We take a £100 non returnable deposit when you book and balance is paid 30 days before the workshop.
Cancellations - 45-31 days before your holiday - 50% of the balance must be paid, Cancellations 30 days before your holiday - the full balance must be paid

Do I need a car ?
We are about 13km from St Geniez, our nearest small town but unless you want to do sightseeing on your own you won't need a car as we are happy to offer transfers into St Geniez.

I've never made jewellery before, will this be a problem ?
No - our workshops are designed for complete beginners to those who have had a go but want to develop their skills.

Do you offer one to one workshops ?
Yes - We charge 50% extra and you will have one to one tuition and the cottage to yourself. The holiday will be designed around you.

I'd like to arrange a hen break with my friends ?
The cottage has 2 bedrooms, one has a double bed and sofa bed, the other a double bed and we can provide an additional single bed so can sleep up to 4, please email me and we can discuss ideas. (Additional accommodation is due to be finished in 2019)
